this message for hansel qb2.  turkey bowl in a month and you were shooting your mouth off pretty well in pitt. last week.  well its time to pay the piper.  first of all i think we should put a little wager on the game(spicoli insert bad joke as always about gambling here).  i see you dancing in a pink tutu at next years male review.

if you can remember some of things we talked about: we will both be captains for the first time and pick teams (well as long as no one mines us making this game about us).

also for everyone we need to come out and participate this year and make a good game (besides the more people that see hansel go down in flames the better).

so mark your calenders now the Friday after thanksgiving is the annual turkey bowl.  for the new guys if you look at some old archives on this site you will see plenty info on turkey bowls of past.

Aren't there playoff games coming up before that you should be thinking about?

YES! Turkey Bowl V, Hansel v. Cody. I like the theme! We usually go with a 12 noon kickoff, we've had 55 degrees and shorts and mud, and we've had 15 degrees and snow and wind and players in snowsuits.....

Friday after Thanksgiving, regardless of weather, liquid courage begins flowing in the shed around 11 am, kickoff at high noon.

Request off work now, plan on an afternoon of American Football, Christmas Ale, Mud, Ice (both??) and blood.....

1. i believe we do have playoffs first
2. Hansel can't go down in flames he's like the burning bush - flaming
3. frenchie, evan, and timmay can personally vouch on item number two
4. there goes tom cody again with another rediculous post, "if you guys really want to know about the turkey bowl you can look it up" wtf...be more lazy
5. gilbert stole my hoodie (off topic, but still important)
6. I will be in Philadelphia on Nov 26

Frank,
As for item #5...can you really steal what is yours?
(This is with apologies to OJ...he is in jail for stealing his own stuff...but that was karma...that whole double murder thing.)

Here is how you screwed up:
1) you stole from me
2) you were stupid enough to wear it to the field
3) you set it on the ground and walked away

Things you can learn from a veteran:
1) be a man of action...I saw an opportunity and capitalized
2) be alert at all times...even with multiple beers in your system
3) never underestimate the power and deception of old age and treachery

QB1 I'm thinking you might want to at least win one Turkey Bowl game before you give yourself that title.  As far back as I can remember, QB1, you keep losing to my team.  Not only that, then for an entire year I have to listen to excuse after excuse of why you lost.  I feel like I have beaten you, QB1, so many times the years are running together.  However QB1, this could be your year to finally beat me.  I would contradict calling you QB1 but every time I do it makes me giggle.

If QB1 does win this year, maybe, just maybe he would be able to enjoy the social after the game.  I guess I feel personally responsible over the years for ruining the rest of his Turkey Bowl day.  However it is entertaining to watch the train wreck unfold after the games.

Captains...wow...this could be a big deal this year.  If anyone has the Friday after Thanksgiving off and wants to partake in the QB rivalry I suggest you make it to Turkey Bowl this year.

If you don't already know, I sought out professional help for my recurring knee problem (i.e., excuse).  Now, not only do I breathe faster when I sprint but I actually do go faster; so fast that I have to wear flame retardant clothing because air friction will set my clothes on fire.

Greg and everyone else

Tell your boys that they are more than welcome to come out and play in the Turkey Bowl.  Numbers have been light the last couple years.  I think to make the numbers improve, the regular Turkey Bowlers need to recruit some outsiders to come out and play with us.

The first year I was in the club I came to Turkey Bowl and it was 11 on 11 with subs.  Haven't seen it since.  Lets try to make it happen again this year

This will be my first turkey bowl with the team and I can't wait to be able to show off my backyard football skills.  My stone hands moniker may keep me from being a first pick, but I can guarantee I won't go by that during the game.  Just you guys wait and see.

Hansel,

I remember that year, it was great! Coach Mike was yelling at us from the sidelines drinking who knows what. And Rett was sitting on Vamp. Hahaha "get off me bitch!".

And be careful with Joe G, he likes to throw cheap shots when you're not looking.

I will be there with a bottle of whiskey. FIRST DOWN BROWNS BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

next event for akron rugby is now officially the turkey bowl.  hansel may have looked good with his shirt off friday (so evan says) but i dont think he has much football left in him.  i think danica has officially ruined him for good.

so lets start getting a head count and make this a big game.  I know for sure that:myself, danica, colton, joe g, and kirk are coming who else is in?

Ya im in, and cody just so u know I am 100x a better qb than u sir so dont be mad and run to the shed and seek comfort from booze and shame if im on ur team and u get ousted from the qb spot after throwing pick after pick. And i gotta know how the heck your gettin headlined in this match up after never winning against Hansel? its a valid question.

Love,

Evan
